You damaged a press vehicle?

For some reason it bothered me that the trailer hitch on mine was only rated for 5,000lbs despite the vehicle being rated for up to 6,800. I say “for some reason” because I never put anything heavier than a bike rack on it.

The plastic pins are a bit scuffed up and the connector wires are going to be a bit worse for wear... but... we’ll see what the trails do

The tundra of the same era was similarly low on tow rating. By the way... I love how I feel in this truck.

A sense of calm invincibility, mixed with actual
physical comfort?

It feels like $100k. The only time I’ve felt anything but rich is when the bad driver almost got out of his car to fight me after I honked at him for being a bad driver.

its funny how something so old can feel so nice. I drove a pre-face lifted 200 a little while back and I thought...actually yeah, this is 80 grand of truck.

its the same on my GX. The factory hitch for that year could handle the full 6500 lbs, but the one that is on mine is a Uhaul special and rated for 5000 only. The trouble is I actually need that full rating as the boat I haul around from time to time is at LEAST 6100 lbs.

It’s built like a tank. You don’t get tank feeling even in the Tundra. I love it. Also split tailgate and electric folding chairs FTW.

its shocking how much more solid it feels compared to my 80. the cliche of being hewn from a solid block is apt.
